No, not at all. You can dive into Loophole Online and start right away. The book is a wonderful starting point for the foundational Logical Reasoning methodology, but the course takes you so much further: it covers both LR and RC, packs in hundreds of video lessons, and walks you through all five prep stages, right up to test day. I do reference the book throughout the course, so it's worth keeping a copy on hand, but you definitely don't need to finish it before you begin.
